Mr. Whitham has been a registered patent agent/attorney and a licensed professional engineer for approximately four years. Mr. Whitham has a Bachelor of Science from the Colorado School of Mines. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in May 2006 and was admitted to the Colorado Bar in October 2006.

Mr. Whitham has 12 years of experience in software engineering related fields. He started his career as an engineer with Setpoint, Inc. designing and implementing advanced process control and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) software as a consultant for oil refineries and chemical plants. After three years with Setpoint, Mr. Whitham took a job as one of the original three members of Encorp, Inc. Initially he worked on the Graphical User Interface and remote communications software to interface with a proprietary Encorp generator controller and other third party hardware. In addition to his software development duties Mr. Whitham performed all Information Services necessary at Encorp including computer, network, and phone system integration giving him broad experience in configuring and maintaining a variety of computer and electronic equipment. Mr. Whitham became the Manager of the Software Development group and eventually the Director of Software Engineering. As the Manager of Software Development he was in charge of all products and computer integration of PC based systems and their interfaces to industrial hardware. As the Director of Software Engineering, Mr. Whitham took control of all product engineering at Encorp including development of Encorp’s firmware and hardware associated with the company’s generator controllers. In addition to his management responsibilities, Mr. Whitham maintained some software development activities at all times. After three years in personnel management he returned to a more dedicated technology development role as he explored his interest in technology law. During this time Mr. Whitham became a key member of the ongoingdevelopment of the IEEE P1547.3 Guide for Monitoring, Information Exchange, and Control of Distributed Resources Interconnected with Electric Power Systems. In August of 2003, Mr. Whitham left Encorp and started law school at the tier 1 ranked University of Colorado.
